Gene: Btk (Bruton agammaglobulinemia tyrosine kinase) Mus musculus
Symbol: Btk
Name: Bruton agammaglobulinemia tyrosine kinase
Description: Exhibits protein tyrosine kinase activity. Involved in several processes, including B cell affinity maturation; I-kappaB kinase/NF-kappaB signaling; and negative regulation of B cell proliferation. Localizes to cytoplasmic vesicle and nucleus. Is expressed in liver left lobe; liver right lobe; spleen; and thymus primordium. Used to study X-linked agammaglobulinemia. Human ortholog(s) of this gene implicated in X-linked agammaglobulinemia; agammaglobulinemia; isolated growth hormone deficiency type III; and mantle cell lymphoma. Orthologous to human BTK (Bruton tyrosine kinase); PARTICIPATES IN erythropoietin signaling pathway; FasL mediated signaling pathway; Fc epsilon receptor mediated signaling pathway; INTERACTS WITH 1,2-dichloroethane; 17alpha-ethynylestradiol; 2,3,7,8-tetrachlorodibenzodioxine.
Type: protein-coding
RefSeq Status: VALIDATED
