Gene: LOC115253421 (intestine-critical region regulatory element) Mus musculus
Analyze
Symbol: LOC115253421
Name: intestine-critical region regulatory element
CRRD ID: 39129137
Description: This genomic element, which is orthologous to the intestine-critical region (ICR) of human chromosome 16, represents the 5' regulatory region of the Percc1 gene on mouse chromosome 17. It can drive expression of a Percc1 reporter transgene in developing mouse gastrointestinal tissues. Deletion of this region in mice results in disrupted intestinal function and loss of Percc1 expression in developing gut, which is consistent with the congenital diarrheal phenotype observed with deletions of the orthologous region in humans.
